NATIVAR – A dwarf Eastern White Pine with short, very twisty blue-green needles. Starts off as a globe shape but becomes pyramidal with age. Grows 2.5′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.

Seedling of Pinus strobus 'Horsham' (seed parent) and Pinus strobus 'Torulosa' (pollen parent). Selected by Andy Sherwood of Oregon before 2005.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils. Intolerant to salt.

Maintenance: Candling is done to new spring shoots before the needles fully emerge.
