
Abies alba ‘Pyramidalis’
Silver Fir - Pyramidal
A large columnar and very old cultivar of Silver Fir. Erect branches of glossy dark green needles have silvery undersides. Starts off as a tight totem-pole when young, will eventually mature to a slender conical shape. Grows 10-13′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. Originated in Germany during the early 1800s.
Special Notes
Exposure: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Prefers acidic, moist but well draining workable soil. Dislikes extremes such as wet or bone-dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective trimming only when needed.
