NATIVE – A variety of Balsam Fir which is very similar to the regular one except its seed cones are more visible. Often used as a Christmas Tree. Large, growing 10′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Native from the Southern Parts of Quebec down into West Virginia.
Special Notes
Exposure: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Prefers acidic, moist but well draining workable soil. Dislikes extremes such as wet or bone-dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective trimming only when needed.
Group: Large
