Dawn Redwood - Waasland
A large, columnar Dawn Redwood. Green feathery foliage on ascending upright branches turn golden-orange in fall before shedding. Very dark exfoliating bark. Grows 15′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Seedling selected by Mr. Decalut of the Waasland Arboretum, Belgium in late 1970s.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Prefers moist slightly acidic soils. Able to withstand swampy soil conditions.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
