Momi Fir
A large growing Fir with large (15-35mm) dark-green prickly needles. The needles of young trees are forked. Cones are 10-15mm long, emerge yellowish-green and mature yellowish-brown. Often used as understock due to its ability to withstand humid climates of heat and moist soils. Pyramidal, grows 10′ high by 7′ wide.

Origin
Native to Central and Southern Japan.
Special Notes
Exposure: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Prefers acidic, moist but well draining workable soil but is tolerant to extreme soil conditions of excess moisture and dry soils unlike most other Firs.
Maintenance: Selective trimming only when needed.
