Cornus florida ‘Pumpkin Patch’

Flowering Dogwood - Pumpkin Patch

NATIVAR – An outstanding variety of the native Flowering Dogwood. Leaves emerge light green in the spring and quickly transition to yellow tones interspersed with green and even pink tones towards the center of the leaves. Standard white bracts (flowers) accompany the foliage soon after in early spring. Foliage colour darkens by summer before transitioning to stunning pumpkin orange and yellow during the fall with bright cherry-red fruits. All this is in addition to its younger stems turning yellow and orange in the cooler winter months. Grows 15′-20′ high.
