Vine Maple - Bort's Broom
NATIVAR – A dwarf Vine Maple with bronzy-red new leaves that take on a more greenish colour by summer depending on the sun exposure. Fall foliage is a reddish-yellow. Grows 3-4′ high by 2′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found (as a sport?) growing on an overpass on I-205 in the Northwest, Oregon.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
