Rhododendrons & Azaleas

Bring a taste of a more “dramatic” feeling home with various Rhododendrons and Azaleas, we have to offer.

A few words to note on these plants. While they are extremely pretty, they do require specific conditions to perform well:

Morning sun and afternoon shade or filtered light
A nice workable, moist but well-draining soil which is on the acidic side (they do not like clay or soggy wet roots)
Planted in an area out of the prevailing winter winds

Rhododendrons also use a slightly different temperature (zone) rating than that of other plants.

H-1 Very Hardy (-27C to -32C)

H-3 Hardy (-16C to – 20C)

Blooming Times:

Very Early – (early to mid March)

Early – (mid March to mid April)

Early Mid-season – (mid April to Early May)

Mid-season – (early May to mid May)

Late Mid-season – (mid May to early June)

Late – (early June to mid June)

Very Late – (mid June to early July)
