Rhododendrons & Azaleas

Bring a taste of a more “dramatic” feeling home with various Rhododendrons and Azaleas, we have to offer.

A few words to note on these plants. While they are extremely pretty, they do require specific conditions to perform well:

  1. Morning sun and afternoon shade or filtered light
  2. A nice workable, moist but well-draining soil which is on the acidic side (they do not like clay or soggy wet roots)
  3. Planted in an area out of the prevailing winter winds

Rhododendrons also use a slightly different temperature (zone) rating than that of other plants.

H-1      Very Hardy (-27C to -32C)

H-2      Hardy (-21C to -26C)

H-3      Hardy (-16C to – 20C)
