NATIVAR – A densely branched dwarf Balsam Fir. Needles emerge light green and mature to dark green. Occasionally a leader may start to form which is recommended to be removed. Grows 1′ high by 1.5-2′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Introduced by John Verkade of New Jersey in 1984.
Special Notes
Exposure: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Prefers acidic, moist but well draining workable soil. Dislikes extremes such as wet or bone-dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective trimming only when needed.
