NATIVAR – A dwarf Balsam Fir. Starting off as a flat-topped mound when young of golden-yellow needles, will eventually gain a leader in time to become a broad pyramid. Protection from hot afternoon sun is recommended. Grows 1′ high by 2′ wide in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. Introduced from a sport at Kate Brook Nursery, Vermont before 1995.

Special Notes
Exposure: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Prefers acidic, moist but well draining workable soil. Dislikes extremes such as wet or bone-dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective trimming only when needed.
