A popular, semi-dwarf to large Japanese White Pine. Long, twisted needles are blue in colour. Open form, grows 6-8′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Originated in Japan. Listed as early as 1909.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Candling is done to new spring shoots before the needles fully emerge.
