A variegated clumping Bamboo! New spring leaves emerge green with irregular white striping. The variegation eventually fades to a solid green leaf by summer. New culms emerge with dark orange sheaths which open to reveal steel blue stems which mature to olive green. Expect it to reach 10-12′ high once established.

Origin
Found as a mutation on Fargesia sp. 'Scabrida' at Bamboo Garden, Oregon.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun.
Soil: Tolerant of most soils. Avoid bone-dry soils. They enjoy their old leaves being left on the ground as a natural mulch/fertilizer.
Maintenance: Remove old culms which do not leaf out by late spring.
