A cold-hardy spreading Bamboo, showcasing many unique features. Its culms reveal a sweet fragrance when warm or rubbed. Its shoots are edible and showcase an attractive design. It is also tolerant to wet conditions. Stiff upright culms are green aging to grey. Expect it to reach 15-18′ high once established. Natively, 30’+ high with a culm diameter of 2 1/2″.

Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Tolerant of most soils. Avoid bone-dry soils. They enjoy their old leaves being left on the ground as a natural mulch/fertilizer.
Maintenance: Remove old culms which do not leaf out by late spring.
