Chinese Flowering Dogwood - Kristin Lipka's Variegated Weeper
A variegated weeping Chinese Flowering Dogwood! Green leaves emerge in spring with creamy white edges which last through summer. During the fall, the green parts of the foliage change to red while the creamy-white edges change to pink. 1.75″ white bracts (flowers) appear in spring while .75″-1″ red fruit occurs in the fall. Stake to desired height.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found as a sport on an unnamed Cornus kousa variety by Robert Lipka in Pennsylvania. Introduced in 2002 and named after his daughter.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done in the spring right after the flowers finish. Do not trim summer or afterwards as, you will be removing next springs flower buds.
