Shantung Maple - Autumn Wind Brocade
What an interesting, little known maple variety! New leaves emerge with a peachy-red hue and transition to a medium green by summer. The leaves can be very irregularly variegated with splashes of white. Some leaves maybe completely green while others can be almost completely white. Leaf lobes, which do exhibit variegation, are often sickled-shaped. Fall foliage turns golden-orange in colour. Rough bark can develop with age. Slow growing to 15′ high.

Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Tolerant of various soils but prefers a well draining one.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
