Eastern Redbud - Oklahoma
NATIVAR – A bit of a more compact and roundish Eastern Redbud. Dark purple-red flowers emerge early spring, before the foliage. Leaves are rich glossy dark green spring and summer and turn to yellow in the fall. Grows 15′ high and wide.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Discovered growing wild in the Arbuckle Mountains of Oklahoma in 1964.

Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun. Shelter from winter winds.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay or very sandy dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning to shape right after flowering. Remove dead wood in early spring.
