Acer palmatum ‘Kashmir’

Japanese Maple - Kashmir

A semi-dwarf to large growing Japanese Maple with very narrow ribbon-style leaves much more thready than the similar ‘Koto no ito’. New spring leaves emerge with a bit of a pinkish-peach hue and mature to a light green by summer. Fall colour is expected to be shades of orange. Grows 8-10′ high in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. Found and introduced by Mr. Maple of North Carolina.

Special Notes

Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
