Boasting some of the largest leaves of a Full Moon Maple. This is quite the stunner! Large, up to 8-10″ leaves emerge emerald green in spring and last through summer before turning shades of reds and oranges during the fall. Grows 8-10′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Chance seedling from Acer japonicum 'Aconitifolium', selected by Ed Wood and introduced by Buchholz Nursery, Oregon.

Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
