Japanese Maple - Red Refined Rice / Five Long Red Fingers
A ribbonleaf style Japanese Maple. Long narrow leaf lobes emerge wine-red that slowly fade a little bit into green hues by summer. Fall colour is scarlet-red. The compact large shrub grows 6′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
