Spanish Fir - Golden
A semi-dwarf golden Spanish Fir of very old origin. Forms a nice pyramid of stiff needles which emerge bright golden in the spring and gradually taking on more greenish tones. Red cones add a nice contrast. Protection from the hot afternoon sun is recommended. Grows 5′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Seedling introduced by Adrien Sénéclauze Nursery, France in 1868.
Special Notes
Exposure: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Prefers acidic, moist but well draining workable soil. Dislikes extremes such as wet or bone-dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective trimming only when needed.
