Japanese Maple - Anne Irene

A slow growing dwarf variety. Bright yellow new leaves emerge in spring with a frilly red eddge. The leaves eventually fade to a limeish-yellow by summer before transistioning to a maroon-red fall colour. Grows 5-6′ high in a 10 year period.

Origin

Found as a sport of Acer palmatum 'Summer Gold' by Kwekerij van Son & Koot Nursery in Holland.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
