One of the most cold-hardy spreading Bamboo! Green culms are thinner compared to most other timber Bamboo but creates a very dense canopy. Expect it to reach 15-18′ high once established. Natively, 30’+ high with a culm diameter of 1″.

Origin
Native to Sichuan, and Zhejiang provinces of China.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Tolerant of most soils. Avoid bone-dry soils. They enjoy their old leaves being left on the ground as a natural mulch/fertilizer.
Maintenance: Remove old culms which do not leaf out by late spring.
