A very old weeping European Beech. Forms a symmetrical habit of pendulous side branches with an upright leader. Luscious rich green leaves turn yellow in fall. Grows 50-60′ high and wide.

Origin

Parentage unknown. Original tree found at a church in Borny, France. Believed to originate from a neighbouring forest. Discovered in 1870.

Soil: Prefers moist, well draining soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay.
