NATIVAR – A dwarf Canadian Hemlock. Twisted green needles are attached on layered branches which curve at the tips forming a dense globe. Grows 2′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Discovered on the Shawangunk Mountains by a hiker in 1985. Named by Vern Palmateer of New York.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun to Full Shade.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining, acidic soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay and dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
