NATIVAR – A dwarf Canadian Hemlock. Very slow growing dense upright habit with irregular branchlets. Dark green needles can vary from very small to very large in size. Grows 3′ high by 2′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Seedling selected by G.G. Nearing of New Jersey in 1956. Found near Port Jervis, New Jersey.

Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun to Full Shade.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining, acidic soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay and dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
