A very unusual dwarf English Yew. Forms a dense, irregular upright of short, stiff, oval dark green needles. Grows 3′ high by 2′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Originated on the grounds of Amersfoort Psychiatric Hospital of the Netherlands before 1939. Found by D.B.B. van den Hoorn.

Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Full Shade. Must be planted in a well protected area out of the prevailing winter winds.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Dislikes constantly wet soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
