Mugo Pine - Sherwood Compact
A dwarf Mugo Pine which forms a flatten dense globose mound of short stiff rich dark green needles. Excellent for rock gardens. Grows 2.5-3′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Originated as a seedling selected by Andy Sherwood of Oregon in 1950.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils.
Maintenance: Candling is done to new spring shoots before the needles fully emerge.
Group: Dwarf
According to the RHS, this is the same as Pinus aristata ‘Sherwood Compact’ and Pinus longaeva ‘Sherwood Compact.
