NATIVAR – A semi-dwarf Lodgepole Pine with bright yellow new spring growth! By summer, the needles fade back to a dark green. Occasionally, red pollen cones compliment the yellow foliage. Dense, upright, growing 6′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. Discovered by Alan Taylor of Colorado in 1982.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Candling is done to new spring shoots before the needles fully emerge.
