NATIVAR – A semi-dwarf Lodgepole Pine with an irregular upright growth habit. Light green foliage in spring and summer turns bright yellow in winter. Grows 5-6′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Originated by Doug Will of Oregon before 2000. Named after the famous Nez Percé nation leader, Chief Joseph.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Candling is done to new spring shoots before the needles fully emerge.
