Parentage unknown. Originated from Iseli Nursery of Oregon.

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Prefers acidic soils.
Maintenance: Candling is done to new spring shoots before the needles fully emerge.

Originally considered a variety of Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) but has since been reclassified.
