Bristlecone Pine
A sem-dwarf, very long lived Pine. Known for its dark green needles (in fasicles of 5) dotted with white resin drops. Cones emerge briliant purple with brittle prickle (arista) and grow to 2.5-3″ long, maturing to dark brown. Grows 5′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Native to the Rocky Mountains of Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils.
Maintenance: Candling is done to new spring shoots before the needles fully emerge.
