Norway Spruce - Formanek
A dwarf, prostrate Norway Spruce which creates a groundcover if not staked. Short green needles are attached to branches which are often left bare at the top giving a bone-like appearance. Grows 6″ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period. Or stake for more height.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Originated as a seedling selected by V. Formánek of the Czech Republic before 1906.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Prefers slightly acidic soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
