European Larch - Horstmann's Recurved
A semi-dwarf European Larch. Twisted and contorted stems ascend upwards with pendulous branchlets. Similar to ‘Diana’ but with more contortedness and slower growth. Green needles turn golden yellow in fall before they shed. Pink cones emerge in spring and mature brown. Grows 7′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Originated as a seedling selected by Güsnther Horstmann of Germany in 2003.

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Prefers moist slightly acidic soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
