Chinese Flowering Dogwood - Snow Tower®

A columnar Chinese Flowering Dogwood! Large (up to 7″ wide) bracts (flowers) occur a bit later than most in the spring, late May/June. Rich green leaves turn red-orange with purple during the fall. Red berries accompany the fall show. Grows 18′ high by 3′-6′ wide.

Parentage unknown. Found by Gary Handy of Oregon.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done in the spring right after the flowers finish. Do not trim summer or afterwards as, you will be removing next springs flower buds.
