
Cornus kousa ‘Radiant Rose’
Chinese Flowering Dogwood - Radiant Rose™
Large pink bracts (flowers) appear in spring. Compared to the similar variety ‘Satomi’, it flowers longer and deeper pink. The deepness of pink is dependent of spring temperature, where a cooler spring brings out more vibrant pink tones. Green leaves show hints of red along with the stems as well. The foliage changes to bright red in the fall. Spreading and arching habit, grows 20′-25′ high and wide.

Parentage unknown.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done in the spring right after the flowers finish. Do not trim summer or afterwards as, you will be removing next springs flower buds.
