Vine Maple - Burgundy Jewel
NATIVAR – A burgundy leaf Vine Maple! New spring leaves emerge bright red with green interiors but quickly change to a burgundy red colour which lasts through summer depending on the amount of sun received. During fall, foliage transitions to brilliant shades of red and orange. Grows 6′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Chance seedling found and selected by Gordy Halgren of Peacedale Nursery, Washington.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
