Flowering Dogwood - Pink
NATIVE – A pinkish-red flowering form of our native Flowering Dogwood. Masses of 3″-4″ pinkish-red bracts (flowers) are seen in early spring before leafing out. Glossy green leaves spring and summer turn shades of stunning red in fall coupled with clusters of red berries. Grows 18-20′ high and wide.

Origin
Native to Southern Ontario, Eastern USA and Northern Mexico.

Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done in the spring right after the flowers finish. Do not trim summer or afterwards as, you will be removing next springs flower buds.
