A dwarf Hinoki Cypress with a slightly spiralled narrow upright habit. Foliage is dark green and densely held together. Grows 18″ high by 12″ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Seedling selected by Joseph of New York in 1983. Named after his wife Elizabeth (nick named Bess).
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Tolerant of various well draining soils, preferring slightly acidic.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to early August.
