Japanese Full Moon Maple - Mirte
Large leaves emerge in the spring a chocolate-brown colour with light green veins. By summer, the leaves turn an olive green colour and take on a bronze hue by later summer. Fall foliage turns an orange-yellow. Grows 10′ high by 8′ wide in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. Introduced by Firma C. Esveld Nursery in Boskoop, Netherlands.

Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
Often listed under Acer palmatum, the descriptions and pictures appear to be of the same plant. Thus leading us to believe, they are the same and it is most likely a hybrid between the two species.
