
Acer palmatum ‘Tana’
Japanese Maple - Shelves
Medium sized leaves emerge in the spring light-green to greenish-yellow with red-purple tips. This is similar to ‘Shigarami’ but not as deep in colour. The tip colouration fades towards summer to an almost solid green. The foliage changes to bright red and yellow by fall. Upright, grows 10′ high by 6′ wide in a 10 year period.

Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
