Japanese Maple - Orion
A compact dwarf Japanese Maple with tiny, deeply divided lobes featuring prominent veins. Bright red new growth matures to a maroon colour taking on greenish-brown hues by summer, sizing up and transitioning to shades of orange in the fall. Grows 3′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found as a witch's broom at Red Maple Nursery in Pennsylvania.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
