Japanese Maple - Crab Mountain

A lesser known, vigorous upright Japanese Maple. Medium size leaves emerge a rusty-red spring colour and transition to green with reddish tips and red main veins. Eventually, leaves turn a solid dark green by summer. The foliage changes to reds, oranges and yellows. Grows 10′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
