Acer palmatum ‘Iro iro’

Acer palmatum ‘Iro iro’

Japanese Maple - Beautiful Color

A fascinating Japanese Maple which simultaneously displays two types of leaves. New spring foliage emerges either as green leaves with pink reticulated variegation or as solid green leaves with purple-red edges. As each type of leaf matures, the pink variegation matures to a creamy-white reticulation on top of the green base. Meanwhile, the purple-red edges of the other leaf type fade to become solid green. Fall colours are nice oranges and reds. Grows 6′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.
