Japanese Maple - Ghost Dancer

Almost solid white new leaves emerge in the spring with red tips and gaining dark green veins. Towards summer, the leaves mature to a more solid green colour with just a light ghostly look before changing in the fall to yellows, oranges and reds. Grows 8′ high by 6′ wide in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. Discovered by Dave Jarrell of Oregon.

Special Notes

Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
