Japanese Maple - The Tube
A very nice ‘ribbonleaf’ type of Japanese Maple with long lobed deep red leaves holding their spring colour into summer before transitioning to an orange-red fall colour. Suppose to be the deepest red colour of all the ‘ribbonleaf’ style Japanese Maples. Grows 6′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Introduced by Firma C. Esveld Nursery in Boskoop, Netherlands in 1991.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
