Japanese Maple - Dragon Tears
A red broadleaf weeping Japanese Maple! The only one on the market to date! New spring foliage emerges crimson and matures a deep purplish-red by summer. During the fall, leaves transitions to fiery-red. On its own, this maple develops a more spreading pendulous habit than going straight down. Stake to desired size.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Seedling found in 2006 by Ray & Cindy Jackson of Jackson Nursery, Tennessee.

Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
