A lesser known weeping Japanese Maple with very fine cut foliage that emerges pink in the spring. The foliage transitions to red by summer and changes to an outstanding orange-red fall colour. Slow growing, stake to desired size.

Origin

Parentage unknown. Original was planted and named after Mother Benedict Duss, O.S.B. aka. 'Lady Abbess'.

Special Notes

Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
