Japanese Maple - Crimson Carole

Large feathery like leaves that are deeply divided with lobes being evenly toothed. The orange-red spring leaves turn a deeper red by summer with green veins and eventually transitions to a orange-red fall colour. Grows 9′ high by 6′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin

Parentage unknown. Originated from a seedling collected in 1990s. Introduced by Buchholz Nursery in Oregon.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
