
Abies procera ‘Sherwoodii’
Noble Fir - Sherwoodii
A large growing golden Noble Fir. Conical with a golden hue all season long, more prominent on the upperside of outershoots while the inner needles take on a more greenish tone. Produces huge cones. Protection from hot afternoon sun is recommended. Grows 10′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found as a seedling by Andy Sherwood in Sherwood Nurseries, Oregon in 1933.
Special Notes
Exposure: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Prefers acidic, moist but well draining workable soil. Dislikes extremes such as wet or bone-dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective trimming only when needed.
